Students are encouraged to enter the ASPIRE songwriting competition each year, guided by our Music teacher Mrs Lisa Pockran. Mrs Pockran also leads our very successful choir, who won the Abermain eisteddfod in 2018 with a scintillating rendition of "The Greatest Show". Talented students have auditioned for parts in the ASPIRE Musical securing support cast roles in this amazing experience.
In 2021 and 2022 our Stage 2 students were finalists in the ASPIRE song writing competition.
In 2019, our Year 6 students were shortlisted in the ASPIRE song writing competition.
In 2018, Year 5 students participated in a new recycling initiative; recycling old T-shirts by finger knitting them into cushions for Kindergarten. A local community group partnered the students, teaching them the method for recycling. It is expected that this hands on recycling experience will continue in 2019.
